Naphthaleneacetic Acid (NAA) is a synthetic plant hormone used in horticulture to promote root development, especially in cuttings, and to regulate plant growth. It is widely used in micropropagation and agriculture to encourage root formation and prevent fruit drop. At higher concentrations, it can be toxic to plants. NAA is commonly applied in fruit farming and plant tissue culture for improving growth and productivity.
